If you haven't yet recognized this specimen, concentrate especially
on regions 1 and 5.
- Region 1, the main body, consists of coiled tubules, with
occasional connective tissue septa dividing the body up into lobules.
What organ consists almost entirely of coiled tubules?
- 5, an accessory organ, consists of a larger coiled tubule.
The tubules of region 1 are connected to the tubule of
region 5 by the channels and tubules in regions 3 and
4.
Once you have recognized the organ, answer this question: How
do the tubules in the main body (region 1) differ in this immature
specimen from what would be expected in a normal adult?
No more hints.
