This may be one of the more difficult specimens in the SAQ series.
But in spite of the lack of any large-scale organization,
certain features should be evident.
The overall cellular organization is glandular. Although there
are no apparent surfaces, the cells are epithelial. Note the association
of cells into clusters (rather like acini), the cuboidal shape, and
the round, euchromatic nuclei.
But if this is a gland, where are the ducts?
If this is a gland with no ducts, what type of gland must it be? (Again,
note the rich vasculature.) And which endocrine gland contains
many clusters of cells with several different appearances and functions?
