Hints for Slide CRR 01.

The source for this specimen should be obvious (and confidently so), provided you are familiar with the organ it represents.
  • Note the texture (1) that occupies most of this specimen.
    • What kind of epithelium lines the many small spaces of this specimen?

  • Note the prominent feature (2), a tube lined by epithelium supported by a fairly thick wall.
  • Note the even-larger tube (3), with several distinct tissue types in its wall.
  • Note other tubular features (4).
    • You should be able to distinguish at least three distinct types of tubular structure on this specimen.  Veins and arteries, of course, and what else?

Hints on the next page are a bit more pointed.  Don't look unless you are stuck.

More hints.
