Parathyroid

Notes

Curvilinear cords of chief cells characterize the parathyroid.  (Pancreatic islets have a similar texture, reflecting a similar endocrine function, but each lobe of the parathyroid is much larger than a typical pancreatic islet.)  Capillaries are frequent but inconspicuous among the cords.
