Brown fat
Notes
In certain locations (here, near a kidney) loose, adipose connective tissue may include both white fat and brown fat.
Brown fat cells, each containing numerous (multilocular) small lipid droplets, occupy the central region of this image. The brown fat is surrounded by ordinary white fat, with each adipocyte containing a single (unilocular) large lipid droplet.
