Lung, capillaries in alveolar wall
This is a view into a single alveolus, from a thick section of a lung whose circulatory system had been perfused by red and blue dye (red for the arterial side, blue for the venous side), with both colors meeting in capillaries. This preparation illustrates how densely capillaries are arrayed in the inter-alveolar septa.
