Notes
The muscular wall of the seminal vesicle has smooth muscle fibers interwoven with connective tissue. In this image, the muscle fibers can barely be distinguished from collagen of connective tissue, by the muscle fibers' slightly more intense stain.
The mucosa consists of a secretory, columnar epithelium supported by lamina propria. The illustration here is a non-human specimen from our reference set -- human seminal vesicle normally displays a much more elaborately folded mucosa, appearing more like a honey-comb; see Webpath low X, Webpath high X.
